Bit Blanket Customer Testimonials

"The bit acceptance during these cold winter months by our horses has increased two fold with every horse immediately salivating following bridling.  We use the Bit Blanket appliance each day the temperature falls below 50 degrees and merely rotate it onto the next horse's bridle while we ride.  What an immediate change.  No more wrinkled eye brow, no more pulling the flews of the lips away from the cold metal, not more waiting for saliva to flow or hesitancy to move toward the bit.  It may be the only thing warm but Bit Blanket takes the "seasonal discomfort" out of bridling a horse in the winter. Thank you for such a welcomed addition to our training program."

"I believe your product is a really good one. One day my grandfather watched me get ready to bridle my horse without first warming the bit. He suggested I might first stick my tongue on the bit to get an idea of the impact on the horse. I learned a painful lesson that I have never forgotten!!!!!!! Because of that lesson, your product has great merit."

"What a difference the Bit Blanket has made for the 26-year-old horse I lease.  Whenever it gets cold we've been having trouble getting his bit and bridle on and the Bit Blanket definitely did the trick.  He's a much happier guy and I'm a much happier rider.  It's a great product!  Thank you so much and I wish you much success."

"Love My New Bit Blanket!! Last month, my horse all of a suddent started throwing her head up when I was trying to bridle her.  I couldn't figure out why.  I had the equine dentist out and he floated her teeth again. (It had just been done 3 months earlier.) She still threw her head every time I tried to bridle her.  I saw your website and ordered your Bit Blanket.  I tried it for the first time today... My mare started to throw her head when I put the bit up to her mouth but when I touched it against her muzzle and she felt that it wasn't cold, she put her head down instead of throwing it up.  Problem solved! ... My horse thanks you and so do I!"

- Melody Sanders Reighley

"Just wanted to...tell you how much I love my Bit Blanket!  I got one last year at Equine Affaire and with the cold weather coming on just started using it again.  I just love it.  So easy to use and makes the bit the perfect temperature in no time!"

- Sasha Diederich

"I bought this item last winter and like it a lot! I use the bit to warm up my hands as well:)"

- Debbie Perrewe

"Before using a bit blanket I used to hang my bridle over a space heater. If it took me longer to groom I then had to wait for the bit to cool down enough to put it in my horse’s mouth. Before using the space heater I used to hold the bit in my hands to warm it - this worked well except that my hands would be frozen by the time the bit was warm. The Bit Blanket is so much more convenient and it warms the bit and keeps it warm regardless of how long it takes me to get ready."
- Deb Giddings, Windham, NH

"The Bit Blanket is wonderful! The bit warms up and is ready to use by the time I tack up my horse. It couldn’t be easier."
- Joanne Fatur, Londonderry, NH

"It’s a barn staple in cold weather. All of our horse’s now happily take the bit, even in the most frigid of temperatures."
- Jodi Gitschier, trainer and owner of Graceful Image Farm, Chester, NH

- Elaine Glasheen, Lubbock, Texas

"Thank you, Bit Blanket, for a great product! When I first heard about Bit Blanket I wasn't sure how well it would work so I was a bit hesitant. I finally decided to get one for my daughter and she absolutely loves it. We can clearly see a positive difference in how her horse reacts to having a warm bit compared to a cold, frozen bit!"
- Michelle Grimm, Hampstead, NH

"I LOVE the Bit Blanket! Makes putting the bridle on in cold weather much easier and less harsh for the horse. Trying to warm with your hands takes too much time and there is not always hot water close by."
- Kaye Hambrook, Spokane, Washington

"I like the electric Bit Blanket very much because it pleases my American Saddlebred horse (Muki). It get pretty cold here in Illinois and when I bring my tack into the barn, which is unheated, Muki's bit gets freezing cold. Now, I can hook up the bit to the electric Bit Blanket and hang it over the outlet right next to Muki's stall - now how convenient can you get. In ten to fifteen minutes it is warm and comfortable enough to slip into Muki's mouth. Several old timers think this is a silly expense, but I am convinced that it makes placing and wearing the bit comfortable for my horse. I had purchased the type of Bit Warmer that used heating packets about two years ago. I had to purchase packets separately and it didn't warm the bit as quickly as the electric warmer. For ease of use, if you are in a barn that has conveniently electrical outlets, the electric Bit Warmer is much less hassle to use and set-up."
- Joyce Hopkins, Evergreen Park, Illinois

"I love my Bit Blanket! I received a Bit Blanket from a friend for Christmas last year. I live in Central Maryland and it got cold quickly this year giving me the opportunity to use my Bit Blanket. It works great, the bit is warm to the touch and my horse takes the bit very easily. I purchased one for a friend as a Christmas gift this year because I liked mine so much. When I put my bridle away I have the Bit Blanket on the bit so all I have to do is plug it in when I start tacking up and by the time I'm ready to bridle the bit is warm. I would recommend this product to anyone who rides in cold weather or has a problem getting their horse to accept the bit because it's cold."

- Pam Hiro, Columbia, Maryland

"I really like the Bit Blanket. It is not practical for me take a "microwave" warmer from my house to the barn....so the Bit Blanket is perfect for my needs. I keep it near the tack room outlet and plug it in there, wrapped around my bit. By the time I groom my horse and tack up...it has warmed the bit to a nice comfortable temperature. I would recommend this product to other winter riders!"
- Laurel Tipton, Loveland, Ohio

"Hello, just wanted to let you know go great the bit blanket is!! I bought this as a Christmas gift for my friend, and she said she will never use anything else. Her pony, Junior, loves it too! Thanks so much!"
- Katherine M., Strafford, New Hampshire

"The Bit Blanket works great. It seems like such a simple thing to do for our horses. Thank you!"
- Elaine S., Springfield, Missouri

"Love my Bit Blanket as does my Haflinger Mare. I'd had visions of my little brother having his tongue stuck to a metal ice-cube tray on a dare, and hadn't wanted to have Camryn experience something similar. I saw your advertisement in a horse magazine, checked it out further and decided to give it a try. Just great, perfect temp AND I didn't have to freeze off my armpit to boot!!! One of my better equine purchases."

"My husband gave me the Bit Blanket for a Christmas gift. I requested the Bit Blanket after seeing it in either Dressage Today or USDF Connection magazine. I have only gotten to use it twice since Christmas, but I was very happy with the results. I was happy to NOT use my hands to warm up the bit - typically, my fingers and knuckles would ache after holding an ice-cold bit. And the Bit Blanket did a much better job than what I could do. It made the bit warm, but not hot. (My hands would make the bit only a little better than freezing!) I think my horse is happier - at least, I don't feel so guilty putting a cold bit in his mouth and I imagine him to be happier! Thanks for your interest in customer satisfaction."
- Vicki G., Iowa

"Just to let you know that not only do I love the Bit Blanket, but so does Tucker, my morgan, and Mac, my friends paint. We ride together, and can actually take the edge off of both bits in the 20 minutes it takes us to tack up to ride. Several people have been interested around the barn, and we've shared your internet site. I was looking for a bit warmer that didn't have to be microwaved, heated, etc. I wanted something that could be used for multiple bits if necessary around the barn, and an internet search showed yours. Thanks for making winter riding in Colorado a bit easier on our ponies!"
- MAB, Thornton, Colorado

"Jamie, we read your ad in either Horse Illustrated or Horse and Rider and are so pleased with the product, your service, your business etiquette. Good luck as you pursue your business...we'll order again!"
- Trill D., Girard, Pennsylvania
